Who we are
Stichting Sun Kyeong, trading as Sun Kyeong The Hague, based in The Hague, the Netherlands, is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us for any privacy question.
What we collect and why
- Name, email address and login details — to create and secure your account (necessary to perform our contract with you).
- Your plan, bookings and attendance choices — to give you access to classes and to run the schedule (contract performance).
- Messages you send us — to answer your questions (contract performance and our legitimate interest in supporting you).
- Technical data such as IP address, device and browser information and error logs — to keep the app secure and working (legitimate interest in security and improvement).
- Where you consent, occasional emails about classes and programmes (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
Who we share data with
- Service providers who host the app, store our data and send our emails.
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of plans, subscription management, payments, invoicing and tax compliance.
- Video meeting providers used to run online classes.
- Professional advisers such as accountants, and authorities where the law requires it.
Some providers are outside the EEA. Where that happens, transfers rely on an adequacy decision or on EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Account, booking and purchase records are kept while your account is active and afterwards only as long as we need them for administration and legal obligations (financial records for seven years under Dutch law). After that they are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests or withdraw your consent. Write to us and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security and cookies
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls. The app uses only essential cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your timezone and currency preference; we do not use advertising cookies.
